Carol tells us this book, which took over a decade to come to our shelves, was inspired by an emcounter she had in a restaurant with a trucker and his daughter. The book is about a young girl whose pride in her father’s work as a truck driver wins the hearts and minds of her classmates. Carol also offers advice for writers about how she chooses to use the very best words possible in her books.
